I second the thought about events and networking gatherings. But it would be great to just see what innovative stuff is coming out of some San Fran offices and to see what some hot small shops are doing.
Right this very second we're working on a calendar of events. So stay tuned - that'll hopefully be up and running soon. We're psyched to get it on the site.
Brian - totally with you on the student work. We've been trying to get a hold of several of the ad schools in town to work out some partnership and highlight students and their work. If you have someone we should contact specifically, send the info our way. In the mean time, put your work on your Egotist profile. Then people can find you that way.
I'd like to see people taking the time to create a profile, make constructive, insightful comments that uplift and inform and I'd like to see people make connections through the Egotist that make amazing new work possible.
I agree with the networking events. I moved here from New York (originally from New Orleans) to wait out the economic downturn at an old employer only to find myself in marketing/advertising.
I'm dying to meet more people in this industry and discuss ideas.

I'd definitely love to see a calendar of events/local networking events, etc kind of thing.
Thanks for the feedback - we totally agree. It's on our list of site additions.

Also, there are a ton of creative ad students in this city. Make it known we're here and display our work. We're the future of the industry.
