IDG Consumer & SMB, home of PCWorld, Macworld, and TechHive, is looking for an energetic, highly motivated sales professional to join our winning team. The Account Director will pursue sales opportunities, create powerful sales stories and presentations, and grow both new and existing business for assigned accounts. Selling multiple products to customers and their advertising agencies, s/he will utilize a creative, problem-solving approach and superior closing skills.

Qualified candidates will have prior experience selling digital, print, and integrated media deals for a major tech, business or CE media brand, contacts in the tech industry, and a proven sales track record. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation, writing, critical thinking and negotiation skills. At least five years of online and/or integrated media ad sales experience is required. A solid understanding of mobile, social and custom content sales elevates a candidate's potential. The ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, self-motivate, and add to the energy of a highly engaged team will be additional keys to success.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
+ Able to generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calls, presentations, proposals, and more
+ Proven track record of getting to key client decision makers at senior levels within an organization
+ Must consistently meet or exceed revenue quota assignment
+ Cultivates strong relationships with client/agency contacts in order to gain deeper insight into business objectives and recommend solutions that meet their advertising needs
+ Uses communication skills to build positive relationships across departments both internally and externally
+ Sets the standard of excellence for customer service
