Shell shows they know nothing about Social Media.

Now THIS is funny: In order to promote a campaign called “Let’s Go! Arctic.” Shell decided to set up a “social ad gallery” that allows people to pair a photo of the arctic with their own headline.

Now why would anyone think to turn this into something other than a rah-rah for drilling in a beautiful natural resource?

Hurry and check out the gallery. Because there's no way Shell keeps it up long.

UPDATE: It's a fake! Greenpeace and the Yes Men strike again. Epic.

There's no way this is real.

Sadly, just a well done fake. The contact page calls oil "dinosaurs' parting gift to Man".

if anyone believed this is real...even for a second is an idoit

Did you read the story? Or only stop at its a fake- because that link clearly reads after the video disaster on YouTube, Shell started this campaign. Another marketing fail. Read the whole link you provided.

"The event was a hoax, and so was the follow-up email and the website with its often hilarious-if-it-wasn't-true fake Shell marketing copy."

Reads like the website was fake as well. Yeah?
