What would the world be like if it were more gender-balanced? How would it change our homes, our communities, and even our planet? From opportunity, to access to equal pay, and much more, 50/50 Day is committed to helping everyday people become champions and active participants in the changes our world so desperately needs.

Over 30,000 groups around the globe are already signed up for the 2nd annual 50/50 Day happening on April 26th. Thousands of schools, companies, museums, libraries, and homes — anywhere people already gather — will be hosting free film screenings and tapping into a global online discussion about how we are going to get to a more gender-balanced world that is better for everyone. Everything is FREE thanks to generous grants and donations. All participating groups will:

— Screen the acclaimed 20-minute film 50/50

— A 30 minute Q&A with four Bay Area panelists (Cheryl Faux – Creative strategist at Heat and panelist for the Ad2 Women in Advertising event, Matthew Yazzie – Director of diversity & inclusion programs at Women 2.0, Anndrea Moore – CEO of Black Tech Women, and Stephanie Yang – Former marketing and PR head of global advertising agencies AKQA and Fantasy Interactive & currently the SF chapter team lead for “Women in Wireless”)

— There will be a networking mixer at the beginning and end. Light refreshments will be provided!
