Warriors Create Winter Wonderland With Holiday Lights At Thrive City
The Golden State Warriors and Chase Center are decking the halls this holiday season with Holiday Lights at Thrive City, the ultimate winter wonderland featuring San Francisco’s tallest Christmas tree (90 feet). Former Warriors player and Basketball Hall of Famer Ralph Sampson, the tallest living former Golden State player (7’4”), will be on-hand to officially light the City’s tallest Christmas tree.
Holiday Lights at Thrive City will run from Wednesday, December 4, 2019, through Saturday, January 4, 2020.
Fans are invited to tip off their holiday celebrations with a festive tree lighting ceremony this Wednesday, December 4 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with the tree lighting taking place at 6:30 p.m. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to take photos with Santa in the Thrive City Warriors Shop and will enjoy performances in the plaza by The Mary Old Christmas Carolers, San Francisco Boys Choir, the GS Breakers and Chinese Lion Dancers. Additional holiday cheer includes multiple photo opportunities, face painters, balloon artists, crafting booths and special holiday-themed food and drink available. All attendees are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the San Francisco Firefighter’s Local 798 Toy Program.
