We are seeking an experienced Paid Search Manager to join our Media team to manage campaigns for our clients as we bring paid search expertise in-house and grow our competency. In this role you will have responsibility and accountability for both paid search strategy and tactile execution, while working with internal teams, presenting to clients, and mentoring a junior member of the paid search team.
You will be regarded as the steward of the internal paid search planning process and are expected to provide tactical recommendations to client account teams, digital team members as well as clients.
-Accountable for day-to-day management of paid search campaigns, including oversight of bid strategy recommendations, execution details, budgets, optimizations, reporting & analysis
-Build and optimize Google and Bing search campaigns for a roster of brands including B2B, ecommerce, and lead generation clients across various industries
-Define, monitor, and analyze trends in clients’ KPIs
-Actively test and analyze keywords, advertising copy, landing pages, and positioning to drive results in line with clients’ goals
-Alert team and manage under or overspend, traffic abnormalities and opportunities and optimizations
-Work with media team to compile reporting and analysis, lead calls to review with internal and external teams
-Responsible for budget tracking/forecasting documents, reports and works with media team on budget reconciliation.
-Responsible for building strategic recommendations for new business & existing clients. With the support of the management team, you are given autonomy to manage the entire lifecycle of the client from onboarding to renewal as related to paid search.
-Perform audits of new and potential client SEM accounts
-Develop paid search strategy based on client-specific goals
-Develop account structures including campaigns, ad groups & keywords
-Write ad creative text ads based on briefing materials, website content and client direction
-Stay on top of latest updates regarding trends, tools and rules of engagement with user interfaces (i.e. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, eMarketer, etc.)
-Training of associates and oversight of their deliverables
-Participate in weekly team meetings and offer ideas to improve and evolve processes
-3+ years of paid search (PPC/SEM) campaign management experience
-Passion for digital media and the SEM space
-Ideally, experience in an agency environment
-Certifications & hands-on experience with Google Ads, Google Analytics and Microsoft Ads
-Experience and knowledge of YouTube is a plus
-In-depth understanding of Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaign management, audits and optimization practices
-Proficiency in providing in-depth analysis and plans of actions for a variety of clients
-Proficiency in CRM/Saleforce type system and comfortable optimizing towards back-end metrics from a CRM such as salesforce
-Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint
-Experience with data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio and Domo, is a plus
-Self-starter with strong multi-tasking ability
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail and strong presentation skills
