For Black History Month, Goodby Silverstein & Partners created a campaign in partnership with the Golden State Warriors called BEYOND28, which is all about celebrating black history and black culture all year—not just in February. The plan includes celebrating black culture next month, the month after that, and the month after that, and to continue celebrating.
Building off a February campaign that included an anthemic film introducing how the Warriors intend to continue the Black History conversation beyond Black History Month, GS&P is releasing a new film with Stephen Curry, as well as a manifesto about BHM. The campaign also included a full page ad that a couple local newspapers (including the SF Chronicle) printed on March 1, and essentially extends BHM all year.
The work was and will be released on TV, in-arena, NBA.com and on Warriors social channels including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
