YouTube Originals has announced “UHC: Ultimate Home Championship,” a first-of-its-kind competition special on host Stephen Curry’s YouTube channel. The competition features some of sports celebs like The F2, Ryan García, DeAndre Jordan, Kristopher London, Von Miller, Ronda Rousey and Lindsey Vonn, and “sideline commentators” including gaming superstar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, ESPN’s Katie Nolan, and Saturday Night Live’s Ego Nwodim.
“With ‘Ultimate Home Championship,’ we were able to create a fun and safe environment for entertaining competition,” said Stephen Curry. “We invited the best athletes in the world to compete and raise money for a great cause.”
Given the current pandemic, the competition is built around four rounds of at-home events from a laundry hamper basketball to a DIY high jump. The show will raise funds for the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund with viewers encouraged to donate directly on the “Ultimate Home Championship” watch page.
The special is Executive Produced by Stephen Curry, along with Unanimous Media (Curry’s multimedia company) and Portal A.
