Description

For the Art Director role, your typical duties will include:

LEADING DESIGNERS & MAINTAINING DESIGN TEAM ACCOUNTABILITY
- Lead internal creative projects and teams
- Give clear direction to designers while also getting hands-on and producing many elements personally
- Be conscientious of timelines and proactively communicate progress
- Consult with strategy, creative, and account team members to assure project and creative goals are being met

INSPIRING CREATIVE EXCELLENCE
- Bring inspiration to our entire team using your creative background and life experience
- Incorporate disparate visual assets created by another professional or provided by the client (such as icons, photographs, logos, and other elements) into a successful design strategy
- Pitch concepts to the creative director, creative team, account team and clients
- Support the Bonfire blog and social post creation when client workload permits

GUIDING TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS / DIGITAL FLUENCY
- Create visual aspects of printed and digital marketing materials, websites and other media
- Wield killer UI/UX skills to make digital dreams come true

BRINGING INNOVATIVE IDEAS TO LIFE THROUGH CLIENT WORK
- Create effective designs and campaigns that reflect our clients’ brand and achieve stated goals
- Work simultaneously on multiple projects based on current client workload
- Generate comps, proofs, and digital/print-ready electronic files as required

CHALLENGING MARKETING STATUS QUO
- Keep apprised and knowledgeable of current trends and innovations in the field of direct marketing

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent art degree
- Minimum of 6-10 years of agency or related design experience
- Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- UI/UX experience; buildout of websites
- Aptitude for creative business and marketing solutions, especially those that involve adult beverages, B2B, technology, health care, and self-branding
- Well-versed in planning and designing campaigns across multiple platforms
- Strong conceptual abilities
- Great client-facing experience
- Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge
- Ability to self-manage while coordinating assigned teams and projects
- Strong proofreading skills, accurate type corrections, as well as an eye for kerning, alignment and positioning of type

PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with the following:
- Project communication tools (e.g., Basecamp, Scoro, Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.)
- Marketing automation tools including Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot, and/or Salesforce
- Digital media strategy and creation
- Functional WordPress and HTML
- Experience in photography and video direction
